Background The aim of this project – still under development – is to develop a data visualisation application. It must be multi-purpose, able to be used again and again, and to display datasets in innovative and interesting ways. The data visualisations must be accessible to all web users and easy to share. The datasets could be from big data, live data, or website data.

Our dedicated team of Drupal developers use it every single day (both inside and outside of work). Yet even we are sometimes surprised at the sheer number of modules and support there is for Drupal within the development community. City hall hosted a spectacular evening event to mark the launch of the WellHappy app designed by BrightLemon for myhealthlondon and NHS London. The high profile launch has been supported by celebrities Joss Stone, Ralf Little, Joe Swash and Sadie Frost who have all been involved in promoting the app and site which will help to direct young people which organisations to turn to when they need help.

The internet is a world of paradox, extremes and contradictions and the world of online health is not exempt. On the one hand people may spend less time physically interacting with each other, sitting crouched in front of a screen staring at webpages for hours on end – which, as this infographic shows , is bad for our health.

We have designed and created a social community portal to attract young people in London to engage with important health issues that affect them. MyHealthLondon allows people to register, get involved and create profiles to access expert Q&As, blog and discuss their feelings and experiences, upload videos and access support and information for mental, sexual, drug and alcohol health issues.
